Testimonials

I have been working with Pro-Can as the prime contractor for the construction contract work for three of my projects within the last year [2014].  Two of those contracts are still in progress with the third having been completed earlier this year.  The total value of those three contracts is in the range of $15,000,000. Each of the contracts was for extensive building renovations within buildings that remained occupied and operational throughout the construction contract work. Pro-Can has fully integrated themselves into our project team for each of these contracts to work together to minimize disruption to the tenants as much as possible.  They have been very proactive and co-operative in their approach and it has been greatly appreciated.  We have had no issues with the quality of their work.  They have also proved to be effective administrators of the extensive construction contract paper work process.

Pro-Can Construction Group has successfully tendered on numerous construction projects for the Surrey School District over the last 20 years. This would include at least 4 new elementary schools, numerous additions, and some renovation projects. The value of the latest new elementary school was close to $12 M. Pro-Can’s ability to deliver these projects on time and within our construction budgets was a crucial factor in the SD 36 selection process for contractors to deliver our new schools and additions. Their relationship with our staff and Consultants has always been professional and first class. We would highly recommend Pro-Can for our construction needs, and look forward to their continued participation in our tendering process for future school projects.

Dick Koch – Project Manager – School District 36

Pro-Can have been working on multiple projects with our office for more than 10 years. They have always been willing to work closely with the Architect not only to resolve site issues but to improve design details. Many of our projects are complicated institutional projects and Pro-Can has demonstrated their excellent working attitude to achieve the best results.

I have worked with Pro-Can on a number of projects from small seismic to large scale addition \ seismic and have found them to be very professional and attentive to detail. Problems have been handled professionally in an open co-operative manner allowing for brainstorming sessions between both parties leading to a solution that suits the needs of both parties. They are a contractor that I would recommend for regular construction and more intricate detailed intrusive work.

CHP Architects have worked as Project Architects on Katzie Elementary School for School District No. 36 (Surrey) with Pro-Can Construction Group Corp. over the past 2 years. This $12,000,000 project involved the construction of a 2 storey non-combustible school with unique wood element features and exterior treatments reflecting the heritage and history of the Katzie First Nation community. We have no reservations providing assurance of Pro-Can Construction Group’s overall performance. In our dealings with Pro-Can we found them to be professional, organized and able to respond to the challenges of working in the educational institution sector. The overall final quality of work achieved by Pro-Can was of a high standard and their ability to respond quickly to changes brought on by site conditions was appreciated by the consultants and owner. We would welcome the opportunity of continuing our working relationship with Pro-Can Construction Group Corp.

As project architect I collaborated with Pro-Can Construction Group Corp. on a 2014 Tenant Improvement at the Harry Stevens Building, Vancouver, BC, a 50-year-old Federal office building.  The phased renovation in the partially–occupied building included exterior windows upgrade, interior re-finishing, abatement work, and installation of Owner’s new workstations. I found Pro-Can’s personnel rewarding to work with.  They tackled the project with enthusiasm and dedication, and responded to challenges that inevitably crop up, with a pro-active approach. I am happy to speak on their behalf.
